Dinnertime conversation

Oliver: Shwee make a phone call?
Mimi: Who would you like to call?
Oliver: Daddy.
Mimi: Well, Daddy's right here, but okay, what would you say to daddy? How about 'I love you'?
Oliver: Yeah. (burps loudly, then points to juice box) Watermelon!

Out of my way!

I'm on my car phone!

A vintage Mercedes for a stroller? Sounds like a fair trade.

Going for a drive.

How much a litre?! Stop the pump!

Questions, questions

Oliver has started looking for confirmation:

Did I close the door?
Are you coming upstairs, mommy?
Were you raking in the back yard, daddy?

I am very impressed by his use of the past tense in that last sentence!

He's also started referring to himself in new ways, based on things we've said about him:

Where's that boy running to?
Who's that climbing monkey?

Creative expressions

On a wet Saturday spent indoors:
'I can feel the rain going by'.

On hearing someone whistling in the park:
'Someone birding!'
